06.30.11 Mission #25 - Take Courage
I wonder if this card got to you... I can't even imagine the fear that you must have felt. I'm reminded of this verse from John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

01.13.11 Mission #24 - Silver or gold I do not have...
Then Peter said, "Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk." (Acts 3:6)

01.07.11 Mission #23 - let it STOP snowing
January 7, 2011
Dear Friend,
I know that this isn’t much, but I just wanted to say HANG ON! Though life may be full of so much hardship, to the point where we think we can’t bear it, remember that there is a God who loves you and wants you to know that. Jesus Christ loves you. He died for you and went through the greatest hardship of all for you. He rose again and overcame death. So friend, may you find joy and peace through this time. God Bless!
Romans 8:31-39
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

11.29.2010 Mission #22 - Don't forget
I wonder how many people walk through this corridor on a daily basis. I wonder how they feel walking through a cold and dark bubble. It's one of the most depressing moments of my day.
What took literally weeks to prepare was soon gone after a day. I hope that at least the few who had a chance to read it took heed to this saying:
"Never waste an opportunity to tell someone you love them" |

11.2.10 Mission #18 VOTING Day!
It is not easy to find people these days who genuinely believe in Washington to make meaningful change in our country. However, that doesn't mean we give up on the individual opportunities given to us to make change. I personally believe that good policy and legislation can impact millions of people in a positive and powerful way. So, my way of making this world a little better today was through voting. Today is the midterm election day where people vote for state and local representatives. As I stepped into the polls, I wanted to thanks those who are taking a step towards making a change they believe in ;) I chose a quote from Confucius: "A journey of a thousand miles beings with a single step."
Was it Halloween? I had so much candy/chocolate left! |
